The Captain Leave's Monolith

It almost pains me to type this but due to musical difference's I've left Monolith, There was a long debate about the way things were going in the band in relation to myself and the other members felt I should no longer be a part of the band. I wish them all the best in finding a new bass player with influences closer to they're own and hope that they continue to do well, this has been some time coming by all accounts and I hope to remain friends with the rest of the band through this. Its been fun guys, Hank.

A little bit different last night…

Last night we played the Broadway in Norton with Satsumo, AWESOME band, go check them out! Fantastic set from both bands, our three new songs goinG surprisingly well :P and at the end a few callaborations with a version of Enter Sandman and covers of You Could Be Mine (played with amazing speed) and Slither! All in all it was a fantastic night! look out for more gigs with Satsumo. keep checking the gig guide for updates! Rock out!

	Hell yeah, after a mamolith 8 hour practice Monolith are ready to hit the stage on monday at the Broadway with 3 new songs ready for giggin'. so check out the debut of some bad-ass heavy dinosaur stompin shit! and some devilish southern blues! shud be an interestin' nite. also Don't miss the Captains beat it bass solo! keep it up. jololith

Merry Christmas From Monolith

Its been an eventful year for us all this year what with line-up changes, band name tattoo's, cd's being recorded, alot of new material being written and even a crazy stalker along the way ;-) A big thanks to all of you guys, you've made it a brilliant year for us, we'll be going out of our way to play alot more gigs this year and a new cd is almost a certainty so Hopefully 2006 will be an even better year. Rock cafe gigs

yO, It's Joel, We played the last 2 sundays at the rock cafe Stourbridge and for me they were special gigs as the first gig I ever played in public was at the rock cafe some years ago with Stevie G!. So it was really great to go back again. The first of the 2 gigs is not really worth talkin about altho our performance went well, but the 2nd was with Halcyon Angels and Silent Trigger and those guys rocked and it was a great night. 10 Gigs On…

Thats right, 10 gigs since the departure of our ex-guitarist, things are superb, a "homecoming" gig back to where our first gig with joel as our 10th gig, and it went great. A big turnout (over 50 people) for the broadway lots of tickets sold by the headliners - Satsumo. A great atmosphere, and a great night, nice way to cap off 10 gigs with Joel. We've got a couple of distance gigs coming up soon, Accrington in lancashire and Nuneaton which isnt too far, but is still a little treck. Soon to come is also a tour with our friends Acacia. A few more gigs this month before christmas, then some cool new year gigs! Keep Rockin' Ste :: Monolith

Thorns Gig

So, tonight we played at the thorns school, where all 4 of us in monolith attended (or didnt), and it was a great gig... great atmosphere, great audience, good vibes... awesome gig. we had fun, thanks to everyone who turned up and everyone who bought tickets! it was a fun night. If only the PA hadnt kept kicking out it would have been probably our best gig yet. but the crowd definately was our most responsive yet, and it was fun to play to you guys! Theres pictures of us (and the crowd) on the website now! Wiffle did an excellent job tonight, 209 pictures to choose from, all so awesome i had trouble withering it down for the site, so i chose 50!! of the best pictures to put on the site, this is over twice as many pictures as we have had before, and thats from 1 camera, we had 4 there... there may just be more pictures coming, and also a video! But thanks again, a great night! and enjoy the badges! we only got them the morning of the gig and aready have none left! time to order more methinks! Keep Rockin' Stevie G
